The latest advances in 3-D Radiographic Imaging are featured in the I-Cat Facial Scanner. It can capture structures as small as .2 millimeters (1/100 of an inch). The scanner allows Dr. Felthousen to reconstruct an accurate 3-dimensional picture of your facial bones, sinuses and joints. It can be combined with implant planning software to pre-plan implant surgeries with a greater precision than ever before. Dental implant techniques such as “Teeth in a Day” and “Teeth in an Hour” are based on this technology.

The I-Cat scanner uses an “open”, seated design for patient comfort. Scans are completed in less than a minute. The radiation exposure to the patient is 1/20th as much as the standard CT scan. The cost is also less than that of conventional, hospital based scanners.
