Microscopic equipment has been used in medicine for several hundred years. More recently, it has been applied to patient diagnosis and surgical treatment in both medicine and dentistry. The microscope allows us to see anatomic structures with great clarity. Fiber optic lighting and magnification (up to 16 times life size) renders detail far more clearly than can be offered by our normal vision.

This improved ability allows us to provide your care more gently and with precision. Our office is the only periodontal practice in the area using the Global Surgical Microscope.
