Platelet Rich Plasma is derived from your own blood and used during many of our bone grafting and implant surgeries to help stimulate your body’s natural healing process, promote connective tissue healing and development of new blood vessels as well as aid in bone regeneration and the repair process. It is a safe and natural process requiring only a small quantity of your own blood. The blood is placed in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma is then further centrifuged to complete the preparation process. The entire process takes no more than 15 minutes and is completed in the office by one of our fully qualified assistants just prior to the start of your surgical procedure.
